Mermaid's Paint and Play Kit

Treasure Chest Assembly Instructions

First glue the two side pieces to the bottom piece.
Make sure the blank sides of the chest sides face in,
so the printed side will be facing out.

Next, glue the end pieces to the bottom and side pieces.
The end pieces sit on top of the bottom piece

Now, glue the two lid pieces together, with the smaller piece centered.
The small piece fits inside the top of the chest to keep the lid from sliding off.

Now you are ready to paint!

I painted the lock and made the hardware dots with metallic paint.
The "nails" dots can be made with a toothpick that has had the ends cut off.

I like to use a black fine tip sharpie to color the eyes,
and a sharp colored pencil to fill in the lips on the mermaids.
You can google angel fish for lots of painting ideas.
There are so many different kinds of angel fish!

You can coat your painted mermaids and sea horses with glitter paint to make them sparkle.
